AI and Your Data

1. When Tavora AI runs

Only when you ask. Tavora AI does not read your notes in the background, and nothing is sent to an AI provider until you:

• ask a question in the AI panel or the chat;
• ask for a voice transcript to be turned into notes, a summary or action items;
• translate a document with the PDF tools;
• generate an image (Premium).

The Free plan has no AI features at all.

2. What a request contains

• Your question or instruction, and the earlier messages in that conversation.
• The part of your notebook you chose as the scope: this page, the pages nearby, the chapter or the whole book.
• Anything you attach or circle: a photo, a PDF, a voice transcript or part of the screen.

3. Who answers

Requests go from your device to our servers, and from there to third-party AI providers, which produce the answer. What you send to Tavora AI is sent to them. We send the request itself, not your name or email address.

4. Training on your requests

Some of our AI providers may use the requests they receive, including the note content and attachments in them, to train and improve their AI models.

So please assume that anything you send to Tavora AI may be used this way, and do not send what you do not want shared: keep passwords, identity, bank or card numbers, health information, and anything confidential about other people out of AI requests. Content you never send to Tavora AI is never shared with an AI provider.

We do not train AI models of our own on your notes or your requests.

5. What we keep

• Your conversations with Tavora AI are saved in your account, so you can return to them on any device, until you delete them or your account.
• A usage log of each request's time, model, size and cost, to apply allowances and find faults. The account is recorded as a salted hash, and each entry is deleted after 30 days, or sooner if you delete your account.
• Documents you ask about. A PDF you add so Tavora AI can answer questions about it is kept for 30 days. On Premium with cloud sync on, it stays in your cloud library until you delete it.
• Reports. If you report an answer, we keep the report, with the answer and the question before it, for up to a year so a person can review it. The reports you made are deleted with your account.

6. Allowance and limits

Every plan with Tavora AI includes an AI allowance, and the app shows how much of it is left as a percentage. Short questions use very little of it; long documents, big attachments, deep thinking and generated images use more.

• Free trial: AI may be limited or not included.
• Plus, offered in some countries: half of Pro's monthly AI allowance.
• Pro: the standard monthly AI allowance.
• Premium: two and a half times Pro's allowance, which also covers up to 200 generated images a month.

Monthly allowances start again each month on the date and time your plan started (for a subscription, its renewal date). Early access's allowance covers its 30 days. Allowances do not roll over. We may also apply short-term limits to keep Tavora AI available to everyone.

7. Accuracy

AI answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and may sound confident when they are not right. Check anything important, especially facts, numbers, citations and anything to do with health, law or money. Tavora AI is a study and drafting aid, not professional advice.

If an answer is wrong, harmful or offensive, tap Report under it in the Android app, or write to support@tavoranotes.com. A person reviews every report.

8. Keeping notes away from AI

• Tavora AI only sees what a request carries, so notes you do not ask about are never sent.
• Choose the narrowest scope that answers your question, such as This page.
• Delete a conversation to remove it from your account.
• On the Free plan, or if you simply never use it, nothing is ever sent to an AI provider.
