In short
- Do not use Tavora to break the law, harm people or infringe their rights.
- Do not attack, overload or scrape the Service, or share and resell accounts.
- Tavora AI has extra rules, and our AI providers' policies apply too.
- Report abuse from the apps or from a shared link, or write to us. A person reviews every report.
- If we act on something of yours, we tell you why and how to ask us to look again.
This summary is here to help. The full text below is what applies.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to everything you do with Tavora Notes: the apps, the web app, Tavora AI, the PDF tools and this website. It is part of the Terms of Service. We keep it short, but it is not a complete list; use common sense and the law as your guide.
2. Content and conduct
Do not use the Service to create, store or send anything that:
- sexually exploits or endangers children. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to the police;
- is illegal, or helps someone break the law;
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- threatens, harasses, bullies or incites violence or hatred against people;
- shares intimate images of someone without their consent;
- exposes someone's private or identifying information without the right to do so;
- contains malware, or is meant for phishing, fraud, spam or impersonation.
3. Security and fair use
- Do not access, or try to access, accounts, data or systems that are not yours.
- Do not probe, scan or test the Service for weaknesses, except as described in section 6.
- Do not overload or disrupt the Service, or get around rate limits, plan limits or other protections.
- Do not scrape the Service or use it through automated means other than our apps.
- Do not resell the Service, share an account, or create accounts to get more trials or allowances.
- Do not copy, modify or reverse-engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.
4. Tavora AI
In addition to the rules above, do not use Tavora AI to:
- generate sexual content involving minors, or sexual content about real people without their consent;
- get instructions for weapons capable of mass harm, or for serious crimes;
- create malware or plan attacks on computer systems;
- impersonate real people or produce deceptive content meant to mislead others, such as fake news or reviews;
- make decisions about people's health, finances, employment, housing or legal rights without human review;
- get around its safety measures, or extract its instructions or the data of other users.
The usage policies of our AI providers also apply to requests they answer.
5. What we do about misuse
A person reviews every report. If we decide something breaks this policy, we may stop the sharing, remove the content, limit features, or suspend or close the account, depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before. Where the law requires it, or people are at risk, we report to the authorities.
We tell the person affected what we did, why, and how to ask us to look at it again, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that email or write to support@tavoranotes.com within six months, and a person will review the decision again. If you live in the European Union, you can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, or to a court.
We close the accounts of people who repeatedly share illegal content or infringe copyright, and we may stop handling reports from people who often send reports that are clearly unfounded.
6. Reporting abuse and security issues
In the apps, you can report abuse where you see it:
- A note or folder someone shared with you, or the person who shared it: use Report in the note's menu, or in the ⋯ menu next to it in Shared with me. Block there too, to leave everything they share with you and stop their invitations.
- Someone you share a note or folder with: open Share, choose Remove next to them, then Report. You can block them in the same step.
- A page opened from a public link: use Report on the page. You do not need an account; leave your email address if you want to hear what we decide.
- An AI answer: tap Report under the answer in the Android app.
You can also write to support@tavoranotes.com with "Abuse" in the subject, and include links, screenshots or other details that help us find it. A person reviews every report, reports about the safety of children come first, and we tell you what we decided. For a copyright complaint, include what the Terms of Service list under Copyright complaints.
To report a security vulnerability, write to support@tavoranotes.com with "Security" in the subject, and give us a reasonable time to fix it before you tell anyone else. We will not pursue good-faith research that respects other people's privacy and data, does not disrupt the Service, and only uses accounts you own.
7. For authorities
Authorities, including those of the member states of the European Union, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services, can reach us at support@tavoranotes.com, in English. Requests for information about a user need valid legal process. We tell the person concerned before we disclose anything, unless the law or an emergency prevents it.
We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and keep what we reported for a year, as US law requires. If you know of a threat to someone's life or safety involving the Service, write to support@tavoranotes.com with "Emergency" in the subject.
